The overall:These are worth every penny of the $48 (after 20% coupon). The sound and sound cancellation may not be up to the standards of an audiophile brand like Bose, but they are in an upper tier of quality, and they got all the conveniences right. And that price! I'm doubtful that there are better quality earbuds for this price.Favorite features:1. Only use one. It saves battery and when you need to really hear ambient noise, or let people know that they can talk to you. When you have both buds in, the left cycles anc/transparent, and the right cycles pause and play. BUT, the best part - you put one away in the case and the other (either one) automatically defaults to play/pause which is very intuitive.2. Ear sensor is awesome. Remove an earbud and it automatically pauses. This works for music or audiobooks, YouTube videos, it just stops the sound (which is super useful when you realize your wife has been talking to you for the last 15 seconds and you need to pop out an earbud to hear). No rewinding necessary!3. The connect button on the case. When you want to connect the earbuds to a new device, simply open the case lid and hold the little button on the bottom of the case. That way you don't have to find the other device to turn off Bluetooth, and when you can't find it run about 30 feet away until it breaks the connection.4. Great connection distance. It works through several walls and floors.5. They fit very gently in the ear, yet I can't get them to come out even when jumping around or chewing gum. Just rotate them back and forth a couple times to get a good fit. When applying pressure to get a good fit, there is no pressure on the eardrum like other lower quality earbuds. Even if they fell, they are light and waterproof, so no need to worry!5. The case is convenient to carry in a pocket with my keys or phone.6. It connects automatically when you open the case lid.7. The ANC and transparent mode switch with just a couple of beeps instead of a really scratchy voice yelling in your ear "ANC MODE!". You barely hear any voices at all except for a nice British connected disconnected or pairing, which usually happens before I even get them in my ear!8. Sound quality is great. I didn't need to balance the equalizer at all. Audiobook/podcast voices sound clear and satisfying and the base is pretty decent for music.9. Simple indicator lights. They are dim enough, diffused, and there isn't any unnecessary flashing to keep you up at night. They just turn on for long enough to show the battery level, and then turn off until the next time you open the case lid.10. The noise cancellation is passable...but frankly great when considering the price.11. Battery life is exceptional. Better than most of my devices.Not-so-favorite features:1. They are a bit difficult to remove from the case - definitely a two-handed process since the case lid only opens 90 degrees and closes very easily. I find myself pinching the silicone buds to remove them.2. For phone calls, the mic tends to be too quiet and I end up speaking up more than I would like (except for calls to my ISP).3. Why are the NC-2 earphones better than the NC-9? Just a strange naming convention.

Overall 7/10. These are great budget headphones, especially as an introduction to True Wireless earbuds. The soundstage is terrific at this price: thumpy bass, decent presence in the mids, brighter high frequencies. They are comfortable, for someone with larger ear canals. Good for working out, running, or casual listening. The ANC and Transparency give other, more expensive earbuds a run for their money. The controls are easy to remember, albeit finicky with sweaty hands. In-ear detection works well, pausing the music about 0.5 seconds after removal. Lastly, the customer service of this company is exceptional, prompt, and makes purchase of their products less of a gamble. (More depth below)I initially ordered these earbuds earlier this year. My first pair worked really well...until they didn't. I ran into an issue where the left earbud wouldn't sit in the case correctly, preventing it from charging. I messaged TOZO Customer service and sent a brief video describing the issue, and within the day another pair was being shipped my way! Here are my thoughts regarding the TOZO NC2:Sound Quality: 6.5/10. While they pack a punch, with great bass. They aren't very clear in the middle frequencies. And that's to be expected with earbuds around this price range. Despite that, these still provide a great listening experience. When cranked up to about 50% volume on an iPhone 14, I could feel the bass. Vocal still sound great, but not crisp. Higher frequencies are apparent at lower volume, but can be overshadowed by the lows when the volume is higher.Noise Cancellation: 7/10. Compared to the Soundcore Life P3i, Beats Studio Buds, Earfun AirPro 2 the TOZO NC2 come in third. While in moderately noisy environments, the Tozo shine. However, when encountering wind noise (on runs, walks and jogs) and the gym, some high and low frequencies still seep into your listening.1. Soundcore (Not pictured)2. Earfun AirPro 23. Tozo NC24. BeatsTransparency: 7/10. I didn't use this mode very often. But when I did, I was more aware of what was going on around me. I used these primarily in the gym and on runs, these allowed me to hear the woosh of cars driving by and some chatter from conversations. Where these did lack is in my ability to hear those I was speaking to, especially when music is playing.Fit and Feel: 7.5/10. These are lightweight and remained in my ear during most of my workouts. They come with several ear tips (6 pairs maybe) to ensure you find the perfect seal with your ear canal. I only ran into an issue when running, and that's because of my ear piercing allowing sweat into the ear, thus breaking the seal.

  1. First, I absolutely LOVE the TOZO NC2 earbuds. I have not tried their company's other products, but I expect they all have similar excellent quality. I normally do not write reviews on products, but I have to comment on the TOZO brand, quality, and even more so - their customer service. The NC2 version of their headphones are simply the best I have tried so far - and I have used a lot of expensive and inexpensive models from multiple brands. The sound quality is similar to many of the expensive brands - and much clearer on treble and bass than all the inexpensive ones I have had. For the cost, the NC2 earbuds are without a doubt the best value and quality I have ever had. Even if the Apple AirPods were only twice the cost of these (and remember, they are about 4x the cost for regular and 8x the cost for their Pro model), I would still choose the TOZO brand. That decision is based mainly on the customer service experience I have had. Most of the OTHER companies (yes, Apple - I am speaking to you) are not very supportive of their products unless you pay for a massive extended warranty plan up front. I have had these earbuds for 6 months, and the left one stopped working one day. I was honestly distraught over this issue, as that meant I had to resort to using one of my other earbuds - all of which I do NOT enjoy using. They are either uncomfortable or the sound quality is just horrible. I wanted my TOZOs back as soon as possible!!! I was about to order another pair, but first wanted to make sure they weren't salvageable. I contacted them through their website, and they IMMEDIATELY responded and helped me go through all of the reset options to attempt to save these wonderful earbuds. We went through all the resets, and unfortunately, the left one wouldn't connect or charge correctly. INSTEAD of saying, "oh sorry, sir, you didn't purchase the extended warranty for $5K, so we can't help you today. Would you like to buy a new set?" (Apple's favorite response to all my issues) - TOZO, on the other hand, offered to replace them free of charge and with rapid shipping. Tell me that isn't the best customer support experience, ever!?! I truly believe it was, and the only reason I am writing this review today.Yes, TOZO supports their products and their customers, like they were family. Plus, the representative I was working with was extremely polite, helpful, and unbelievably prompt in all her responses - I think they waited on my responses to emails more than I ever waited on them!!! Now, that's a lesson for ALL of the other companies out there that don't even respond to customer issues or complaints - follow the excellent example and lead of a company like TOZO, and you will keep a customer for LIFE. There is no question in my mind that the next pair of earbuds I have to purchase WILL BE another set made by TOZO! Hopefully, they keep their Research & Development Department busy, and come up with an even BETTER model for my next purchase. I sincerely thank all of you at TOZO for providing the best product and especially the most professional customer service experience I have had in a decade. Keep up the good work, and you have retained another happy customer for many years to come.

  2. I really want to give this an 5 star review, but there are two things that really bugs me.1- the way the buds are placed on the dock makes me do"too many moves. The stem should be on the outer edge of the dock and the speaker should be on the inside. You have to pull it off and spin the buds to have inward towards the ears. I know, a bit of a pepive, it's just annoying.2- there's no way of seeing if the buds are fully charged if the dock is closed or open since the light comes on when opening the dock anyway. The pros.1- this set works amazing with battery size.2- sounds really good. If like to say for the price, but it's not cheap, it's inexpensive.3- the ambient sound detection does really good. It kinda distortion with stronger high pitch than low and mids but it's better than ones without the feature.4- I drive a van for work and work outside a lot, the background noise from the van and machines around me get dulled really well with noise canceling. On the negative side is the noise canceling, the microphone on a call doesn't work as well. I've had issues with people hearing me on a phone call with the noise cancelation on. It works better with ambient sound on.As for fitting and comfort, I haven found the right "cone" that better suits my ear yet. It comes with a good amount of sizes, but they are all mixed in one little bag making it annoying to find the same size pair. It says in good, but I'm always refitting them in. Not sure if buds are the best for working out since I'm constantly adjusting it. The other great thing about it is it stops the audio when falling out or removing them/ even one side. But it shouldn't be falling off that often. For those reasons I'm tempted to give it an 3.5 🌟 , but it works great and battery life 10-12hrs work shift all in one charge makes the other .5-1 🌟 on its favor plus the price for all those features speaks great value.Would I recommend? AbsolutelyIs it perfect? Definitely not, but worth the price.Update on the in ear cups.I've sound that the smallest cups fit really really well. All have to adjust it every now and then, but it's been much more stable. On the gym while running, or other exercises it just stays in with the occasional refitting. Not a all day in without re fitting, but I'm much happier that I found a better size to fit my ear canal. Battery still rocking solid..1 Year update:Still running strong, great sound quality and phone call quality. Case pearl coating on battery bank is peeling at the seam, but still holds charge! 100%recommend

  3. So, I'll preface this review by saying I'd previously only ever heard of TOZO from YouTube or Reddit when researching different pairs of earbuds. I'd typically always heard good things, never so much anything too terrible. Many people enjoy the value for money their products offer, and I personally can understand why now. The NC2s are an exceptionally underrated pair of budget TWS earbuds. Naturally, to get anything that performs so well to the price point the NC2s are at means corners had to be cut. However, in this case TOZO managed to pack a lot of high end features into a (relatively) tiny & inexpensive package. I'll break things down into a list of each aspect that matters, so that I can better express the strengths/weaknesses of the NC2s.Battery Life - (It is advertised as "10 hr+" per charge, but I find myself to still have 30-40% left even after having one earbud in my ear for 11-12 hrs). Total battery life with the case is also considerably more than the 42 hr claim by TOZO (at least in my case). The battery life for the price is so ridiculously long it's one of my favorite things about these earbuds. I can definitely get through the entire work day with battery to spare on a single charge, and usually go a whole week without charging the case itself. To me this was a huge selling point because I don't have to recharge them halfway through the day like I would with something like AirPods (only 5-6 hr per charge).Sound Quality - now don't get me wrong, they aren't "perfect" in this aspect but they offer VERY strong bass (perhaps maybe a little too much, it can sometimes sound a bit "muddy") although the mids/highs are still acceptable. I'd say they're a good 7 or 7.5/10. They sound a lot better than pretty much anything else at this price point (except maybe Anker/Soundcore, I do like them a lot as well). I use them mainly for podcasts or listening to YT videos while I work. But when I do listen to music it's still a great experience and I can't say I'm disappointed. They definitely require a sort of "break in" period though, to get the most out of them. This period is probably around 30-40 hrs of use at 50-60% volume. After that the overall sound quality sort of "balances out" so to speak, or at the very least sounds less distorted at higher volumes.Design - The buds themselves appear to be inspired by AirPods Pro, which is coincidentally one of the reasons I decided to get these. I genuinely enjoy this particular design — when it's done well. These replaced my JBL Tune 230NCs (lost in a car wreck), which were ironically replacements to ANOTHER set that had one of the earbuds destroyed by getting ran over (OnePlus Buds Z2). Both of those pairs shared a similar design, and it is by far the only kind of stem-style that I'll use. The oval shaped silicon tip used by earbuds with this design just seem to have a much better seal for me. Which in turn improves sound quality and ANC. The only gripe I'd say I have with the NC2s is the TOZO logo placed vertically along the stem. While I'm all for branding and representing the ones that I like, I just find it a tad bit "tacky" when it comes to these. Not that it affects anything really, so I can't really knock them for that. I just hope if they ever make a successor to the NC2s, that they will make them have a more "subtle" design (if that makes sense). Another aspect of the overall design would involve the case, which is admittedly the weakest link out of everything. It's cheap, completely plastic, and the hinge leaves much to be desired. The feeling of opening/closing the case has flimsy feedback, and as such the quality feels subpar. Even with that being said, I would have to argue that it's fairly durable nonetheless (I dropped mine while getting out of the work truck and it only sustained very minor scuffs/scratches). I wouldn't put much stock into that experience alone though; as I mentioned the build quality of the case is fairly unremarkable and will likely break the hinge entirely from repeated or severe drops. One thing I did notice at first is that it can be somewhat difficult to remove the earbuds from the case due to the way they're positioned inside it. It takes a little getting used to, but once you're familiar with how to remove them it's fine I guess. I'd say if they would've had them face the opposite way (like the AirPods Pro), it would make it much easier and it wouldn't be an issue in the first place. On the plus side, the case does in fact support wireless charging (at least with both of my 5w & 10w Qi-certified pads). It also features Type-C for wired charging.Charging Speed - with wireless charging, it is a bit slower overall but still nothing too excessive. I've clocked approximately 1 to 1.5 hrs if both the case and earbuds are completely dead. Via wired charging I'd have to say it's roughly ~20 min or so faster. The buds themselves top off substantially quicker when the case has plenty of juice left; with one earbud depleted to 50% or so it only takes 15-20 min to recharge. At anything below 30%, it's closer to 30 min give or take. So all in all charging speed is more than adequate, especially since the battery life per charge is so great to begin with. Most of the time I don't have to charge the buds till after I'm already going to bed for the night anyway.ANC & Transparency Modes - the fact that these earbuds have both of these features at all is quite impressive, given the price. However, it is fairly evident that they were more of an afterthought than an actual focus when TOZO designed these earbuds. While they both "work", neither is particularly amazing and most of the time I tend not to use them. The annoying part about using either is that you have to have BOTH earbuds in at the same time (and I'm used to various other pairs allowing the option to enable both with just one bud). It is also a bit disappointing that you cannot change the way the controls work - you have to press the left earbud to cycle between ANC and Transparency, and the right one handles pausing/playing media (or long pressing accesses Siri/Google Assistant). While only using either earbud on its own, they will only allow for play/pause functionality. I forgot to mention the "in-ear" detection feature, and while it is nice to have it seems like it could've been ditched in favor of app support or a better designed case. It's not that I dislike it, but it just feels "out of place", especially with the target audience for the NC2s.App Support / EQ - unfortunately, there is no app support from TOZO for this particular model and as such you cannot manually set a custom EQ (or choose from presets for that matter), along with changing the way the controls work. I do believe if you have a built in EQ on your device or music app of choice, you could tailor the sound a little better that way. But these are simple, to the point, and have no customization options to work with (for me it's a downside, for some it may be better to not have to tinker with anything and just have them "work" right out of the box).Connectivity Stability - so far I've only had a handful of instances where the connection will be interrupted, so I can't say that they are 100% stable as far as BT is concerned. However when it does happen, they immediately re-pair to the device I was using them on so it's not the worst experience ever. There is some noticeable latency as well, especially with watching videos on YouTube (the audio and video will be 1-2 sec out of sync). Just something to keep in mind if that matters to you.Fit / Comfort - they're honestly quite comfortable to me; very rarely will I have to remove an earbud to readjust it. And I wear at least one at any given time throughout the entire day. If I had to guess it's thanks to the aforementioned design choice, and the fact that the oval-shaped silicon tips provide a better seal than the circular ones. The silicon tips included are fairly cheap, but they offer several replacements/different sizes so it should accommodate almost everyone. I'm personally in the process of getting some higher quality tips from on here, so I will have to wait and see if that makes them even better. As it is now though, I can definitely make do with the ones included and can't really complain about them falling out or hurting my ears. All in all, if you're someone like me who is just looking for a solid yet also inexpensive pair of earbuds that can easily get you through a day and/or week of work that have a decent set of built in features you don't usually see at this price then these are for you. Your mileage may vary, but keep your expectations in check and you might find yourself pleasantly surprised like I did with buying these. They make for a great pair of backup earbuds or ones used daily that you don't have to worry about losing or breaking due to them being so cheap. Like I said, they aren't perfect (and they're certainly NOT AirPod replacements), but they'll get the job done and won't cost you a small fortune.

  5. [LATEST UPDATE: In Feb. 2023 I contacted TOZO regarding the warranty for my no longer working earbuds. It was the best customer service experience I have ever had! Not even kidding! Friendly, easy, painless, quick, and satisfactory. They replaced the broken product and were extremely friendly and pleasant and so easy to deal with. I am surprised and grateful. Elva is the lovely person who helped me out. Have very high confidence in this company now, and trust they will make things right when things go bad. Very, very pleased. And the replacement earbuds are great, and so far have not failed me at all.Glad to have a positive experience I can report instead of complaints! 🙂 Oh and I guess I was wrong about the warranty mentioned below. I don't know where I got that. But they had a warranty processing form on their website, which I filled out, and found out from the info there that I was still covered, perhaps. Which I was. My bad./end of latest update from Feb. 2023][UPDATE as of 1/2023: These earbuds finally fit in my ears, and then not even 4 months after I got them, they stopped working! First one of the little mesh screen things just fell right out and it stopped working, it must have been held in by the ear tip thing for who knows how long. Then the next day the other earbud also stopped working entirely. Then I realized there was only a 30 day warranty?!?!?! That's super lame and now I have no earbuds. Thank you very little. 🙁 /end UPDATE)---------I like the sound of these a lot, nice and warm overall with decent bass. I was quite pleased. I mainly listen to podcasts and some folk/indie/rock/bluegrass/classical/and/or punk. The noise canceling works surprisingly well but the transparency mode, not so much. It's so loud, just the ambient noise is a constant loud hiss, and odd things are amplified (a lot!).Calling (outside in quiet, still conditions) with ANC on, for some reason, the other person was very very quiet but could hear me okay. But when I switched to transparency mode during the call by mistake, it was suddenly ear-shatteringly loud f on both ends (but upon turning the volume way down sounded okay for me and the caller, apparently.) A few other calls with NC on were fine but they were all conducted indoors, so I don't know..I definitely dig the ear detection/auto pause/resume feature, but that would be even more useful on a pair that didn't also have transparency mode AND a pause touch control, I think. This isn't a deal-breaker but I can't stand the way the earbuds fit into the case, they're unnecessarily awkward to put in, pretty hard to get out, and impossible not to manhandle the touch controls when trying to extract from the annoying annoying annoying case. It's just weird!I was able to find a glow in the dark silicone Case for the case, which is nice because it has a carabiner clip on it. I found I found that rather useful to clip to all kinds of things because the case is so big I don't really want it in my pocket. The battery life seems good, but I have not really been able to test that to the point of needing a charge because... *. Here comes the deal-breaker: no matter how much I might like these earbuds, I cannot wear them for any length of time. The right one hurts my ear terribly - it seems it bruised my ear or something the first time I tried them and even now that it has healed (took a week or so, ouch!) and I am super careful putting them in, it still causes pain, especially in my right ear but in my left one too. And they slide out. I tried nearly all the sizes of tips, too, just in case I was doing it wrong. Nope, nothing could make these things fit in my tender little ears. I have never had that problem with this type of earbud before, but now I'm so worried about finding ones that will fit and won't hurt that I don't know what the heck to replace these with. But unfortunately, they've gotta go back, I must return them and try yet another pair.[NOTE] - I've been on the hunt for the right earbuds ever since my duolink mbits crapped out on me (left bud) which had replaced my mpow mbits (same exact but different brand names) crapped out on me (left earbud as well ). I tried the Jlabs evo something with the button (not touch), but pressing the button jammed the whole thing painfully into my ears, ugh. Tried another jlabs one (i think) but the stupid case had no lid, what is the use of that?? Then I tried whatever soundcore buds with the stem and the giant case that they sell at Walmart for $35, and i returned them because they sounded so terrible, just godawful. Even with the other eq mode, I hated them! But they were tiny and super comfortable. Then these, they sounded the best by far, oh well...Now what?

  6. So I've had this for a couple of months now and here's what I think.1-Battery: In just these two months, I've noticed both the battery from the buds as well as from the case already dropped in charge hold capabilities. I'm reasonably responsible with battery care not leaving it charging after it's has reached full charge, for example. For now they still hold sufficient charge for my everyday use but I'm disappointed with how much it's changed in such little time.2: Often when I remove the year buds and put them back in the case, they disconnect for a few seconds and then reconnect with my phone while in the case with the lid properly closed. It's very annoying. I have to stop what I'm doing on the phone, open the case, pull the buds up, insert them back in and close the case so they disconnect again. normally the second time around they disconnect for good.3- while recording audio messages, it's not rare that it chops up what I'm saying. A strange fluctuation between sounding clear and not picking up my voice at all for short periods of time continuously throughout the entire recording. Unrelated to how far I am from the phone. Normally the phone is right next to me.4- the buds are big. I'm not talking about the soft silicone part. I mean the buds themselves. If you have small ears, look for different ones. They are prone to falling off my years because they are so big, they gradually are expelled by my years.Playback sound quality is decent for the price but I would not recommend these for anyone. Maybe I just got a bad pair. Who knows!? For the price, I wasn't really expecting any different. Expected case of you get what you pay for.

  7. These are my favorite true wireless earbuds for the money, but they aren't without their quirks. This is my second time buying these because they are so comfortable and have everything I want in a pair of headphones. You can usually find them on sale for a little less than $40 and they are 100% worth it.My first pair was worn 30 - 40 hours a week for almost a year before the in-ear sensor in the right earbud started bugging out, playing and pausing when it was in my ear.I highly recommend these despite their flaws, and I have seen them make improvements between my first and second pair, notably you can now cycle through ANC, Transparency, and ANC off.Pros:Comfortable - I work as a custodian and wear earbuds for 6 - 10 hours a day and these are by far the MOST comfortable ones I've ever owned. My ears never hurt no matter how long I keep them in and they STAY PUT whether I'm dangling them over a toilet or bending down to pick up something of the floor. I've never had these come out of my ear or feel like they are slipping out of position.Battery life - these have great battery life, often lasting 6 or 7 hours with ANC. I want something that can last all day so I can focus on my work and block out the annoying noises of vacuums and rolling trash bins. They can also be used independently, so when the battery does get low and I don't need the ANC, I'll pop one in the case for 15 min to get more out of them.Wireless charging - I just put them down on my charging pad when I get home and they're ready to go the next morning.Active noise cancelling - the ANC is GREAT, automatically blocking out the worst noises including multiple different vacuums (which each produce different annoying frequencies) and the surprisingly loud sounds of empty rolling trash bins and rolling trash cans.Sound quality - I'm not an expert on earbud sound quality, but I AM a part-time sound tech who mixes for live worship so I have some experience training my ear to know what sounds good. I think these sound good! I never get tired of listening with these and I feel like the music reproduction is pretty darn good! No EQ needed like with my JBL live free nc+ earbuds. The case - the size of the case is compact and fits great in my pocket.Cons:The case - this is my second time buying this model and the case seems to have been "updated" (or perhaps cost-cut) and now the hinge seems...floppy. Not too bad, but not as stiff and sturdy-feeling as the old one. The hinge has more "wiggle" than I'd like, and the older version didn't have any. The new case is glossier and retains fingerprints more than the old one which was nice and matte. The case can feel a little slippery in the hand, although I usually keep it in my pocket. It also has this annoying issue with wireless charging where it won't stop charging when it's full on battery. My JBL Live Free NC+ earbuds will stop when fully charged. Additionally, when I remove my headphones from the wireless charging pad, without even opening the case they will connect to my phone. I've remedied this by just opening and closing the lid whenever I take my headphones off the charger, but this SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. It also means that if the power goes out while they are on the wireless charger that will automatically connect to my phone (often in the middle of the night). Hopefully it will be fixed in subsequent versions.All-in-all, the pros outweigh the cons (significantly, in my opinion). I think these are an amazing option for the $40 price point and I have been very pleased with their reliability and performance. I hope this new pair will also last another 1,600 hours or more. If Tozo solves the issues with wireless charging and goes back to the old case design (firm, sturdy hinge and matte finish) while keeping them at an affordable price then these would be undisputably the best possible earbuds I could imagine.
